Útočníčka, ktorá v pondelok na súkromnej kresťanskej základnej škole v americkom meste Nashville zastrelila šesť ľudí vrátane troch detí, zrejme plánovala spáchať útoky na viacerých rôznych miestach. Informuje o tom agentúra AFP, ktorá sa odvolala na miestnu políciu.
Streľba sa odohrala na presbyteriánskej základnej škole pre približne 200 žiakov. Polícia najskôr oznámila, že strelkyňou bola 28-ročná žena vyzbrojená dvoma útočnými puškami a pištoľou. Predtým uvádzala, že útočníčka vyzerala ako tínedžerka. Policajti ju pri zásahu zastrelili.
Podľa polície bola strelkyňa bývalou študentkou tejto školy. Náčelník miestnej polície John Drake neskôr identifikoval podozrivú ako Audrey Haleovú. Podľa neho je transrodovou osobou.
Domnelá páchateľka zanechala po sebe manifest, ktorý „naznačuje, že k streľbám malo dôjsť na viacerých miestach a škola bola jednou z nich“, povedal Drake. Policajti takisto získali podrobnú mapu školy s vchodmi do budovy. Motív útoku zatiaľ nie je známy.
Podľa agentúry AP sú obeťami tri deti vo veku deväť rokov a traja dospelí vo veku 60 a 61 rokov vrátane riaditeľky školy.
Americký prezident Joe Biden v spojitosti s tragickou streľbou na súkromnej kresťanskej základnej škole povedal, že násilie páchané strelnými zbraňami v USA „trhá dušu“ tejto krajiny. „Je to proste choré,“ povedal Biden v Bielom dome a ocenil políciu za rýchlu reakciu.
